At the rear of La Belle Hélène de Ménélas, where the historic stone building meets a later chapter in its long history, two distinctive studios reveal a different side of the hotel's story. These spaces were created in the decades that followed to support the day-to-day operation of La Belle Hélène de Ménélas, originally serving as the restaurant's kitchen before taking on their present form.
Today, fully renovated, they have been transformed into two contemporary studios that combine comfort, functionality, and privacy with the understated charm of another era. Their design is inspired by the 1960s - a period that marked a new chapter in the evolution of La Belle Hélène de Ménélas, when this newer building became the hotel's modern expression, reflecting the architectural and aesthetic trends of its time.
The First Secret of Hélène (61) and The Second Secret of Hélène (62) are discreetly located at the rear of the building, offering a peaceful, independent stay with a private courtyard, a fully equipped kitchen, and all modern comforts. They represent a different, yet equally authentic, side of La Belle Hélène de Ménélas, where history continues to unfold through hospitality.

At The First Secret of Hélène, the atmosphere of the 1960s meets modern comfort in a space designed for complete independence and relaxation. The distinctive spirit of the sixties comes to life through the kitchen's turquoise tones, warm yellow accents, striking wall murals, an authentic period wooden cabinet with an integrated record player and gramophone, and the clean lines of mid-century modern design, creating a studio with a truly distinctive character. The private entrance, courtyard, and fully equipped kitchen offer the freedom of an independent stay, while the double bed, sofa bed, dining area, modern bathroom, and washing machine provide every comfort for couples, families, or longer stays, with views of the garden, the mountains, and the inner courtyard.

At The Second Secret of Hélène, the same 1960s aesthetic takes on a warmer, more nostalgic expression through authentic objects and carefully preserved details that keep the spirit of the era alive. Earthy brown tones, mosaic flooring, a distinctive wall mural, vintage open shelving, and an authentic period wooden wardrobe create a studio with a distinctive character, where the past meets the present with understated elegance. Among its unique decorative touches, a signature porcelain figurine from the era adds a playful note of nostalgia, completing the studio's inviting atmosphere.
